Many have asked me to review Isagenix's cleanse diet; you can all stop pestering me now, just kidding. I have decided to write this review.
I will try and be as objective as I can, but as you know I am now using The Genie Cleanse Diet. Both cleanses are excellent and provide real tangible results. For me one was more economical than the other, so I have chosen to continue with it. But with that said, I still respect Isagenix, and what it has done for us.
With Isagenix I am going to focus on the 9 day, as it's the preferred option for most Isagenix clients.
I used Isagenix for 1.5 years, and lost more than 60lbs in that time frame, but more often than not, gained weight back. My total net loss was 25lbs this being the amount of weight I was able to keep off, out of the total weight I lost on the diet. Now I will get right into Isagenix by saying that there 9 day cleanse will set you back 164.95 not including taxes, or shipping, so nearly $200 will get you going for 9 days. The 30 day Isagenix diet will cost nearly $400 (349.95 not including tax, shipping)
The 9 day cleanse includes 2 bottles of there cleanse formula which consists of great array of known cleansing agents, such as aloe vera, green tea, and more. In addition you will receive one canister of meal replacement powder (14 meals), bottle of isasnacks, accelerator caps, measuring tape, and a CD on cleansing.
Before starting the cleanse, you are asked to prepare by drinking two meal replacement shakes, and eating a small meal the day before the cleanse. Now, the next day arrives and this day is your first cleanse day. You are to mix Isagenix's cleanse formula (4 ounces) with purified water 4 times in one day; day 2 is exactly the same. Days 3,4,5,6,7 you are going to be consuming 3 meals, two of which in liquid form (shakes) and one under 600 calories. Days 8, 9 you will be cleansing. This is the diet. The major hurdles in the diet, or definitely the cleansing days, which can cause headaches, and create extreme hunger. If you can get through these 2 days, you have it beat! If you get hungry, try drinking more water, large glasses, this will give you a "full" feeling, and possibly curb the hunger.

Summary:
Isagenix has proven itself to work, if followed strictly, but unfortunately has continued to raise the price of there programs. After you complete a 9 day cleanse and now you want to maintain this weight loss you can go on the maintenance for life program at over $150/mth. The taste of the product has been an issue for a long time as found on many Isagenix user boards and forums, with no real urgency to address that issue and the extreme cost of the product; I just could not afford to use it anymore.
Because it was not feasible for me to spend hundreds on Isagenix a month as I was doing, I went out to find a cleanse diet that I could afford, and came across the Genie Cleanse Diet These guys modeled this diet after Isagenix's 9 day cleanse I think, because it is very similar, but they use all natural preservative free items in there cleanse formula.
Basically they researched cleansing, and found a cleanse formula that works, combined it with many meal ideas to create a 10 day cleanse diet, delivered instantly to your computer, so no waiting 3-5 days to begin.
All items can be bought at your local grocery store without breaking the bank. The thing I liked was that after I bought the diet program, I have used, and followed it many times BUT without having to repurchase it over and over again. Anyhow, I am not promoting one or the other, both work VERY well, but when comparing my weight loss with the Genie Cleanse, to Isagenix there was no difference, both did the same thing, and then best of all at $27bucks for the genie cleanse program, compared to $164for Isagenix's that was the sealer for me.
