New venture in corporate aircraft financing takes flight.
A new company called Guggenheim Aero Finance Company (GaFco) was formed through a venture between Guggenheim Partners and UBS Real Estate Securities Inc. GaFco will provide innovative financing solutions worldwide for qualified corporations and individuals purchasing new and pre-owned corporate jets.
UBS - the one to watch in Euromoney's 2007 annual foreign exchange poll.
UBS recorded another strong performance in Euromoney's annual FX poll, retaining No.2 position and making the largest market share increase - from 11.86% to 14.85% - among the firm's listed in the top 20. The firm also received top accolades with institutional investors and banks, ranking No.1 in terms of market share. It was also ranked No.1 by market share with clients in Central and Eastern Europe.
Launch of the new UBS Global Warming Index
The Investment Bank launched the UBS Global Warming Index (UBS-GWI). The index is a tradable benchmark for global investments in the weather derivatives market. UBS-GWI is the first weather index designed to reflect the current needs of the whole investment community. It provides a rational and simple way to obtain exposure to the weather asset class.
